1K - $47K a year 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago POSITION SUMMARY The Insurance Verification Coordinator is responsible for developing and conducting professional training for insurance verification for the Patient Services department at BJHCHS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provides oversight of the use of insurance verification on all patients for authorization prior to medical appointments and update the system with their current benefits information Develop and maintain educational curriculum for patient service representatives regarding billing and revenue cycle management.
Provide training for the use of insurance portals to accurately reduce rejections and denials.
Provide new hire and continuous revenue cycle training for PSRs Liaison between Billing Supervisor and the Director of Patient Services for billing and revenue cycle updates.
Accurately follow payer contract guidelines and legal requirements to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Stay current with all CMS regulations and guidelines Assist with Medicare, Medicaid and all insurance contracts and provisions Provide support for PSR's regarding the sliding fee application process.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Patient Services
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, required Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare information services Bi-lingual (Spanish), preferred ADDITIONAL DUTIES Must be able to prioritize work and be able to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
Able to work as part of a team and foster the team concept.
Must be dependable and maintain a high degree of confidentiality Strong organization, analytical and problem solving, crisis management and conflict resolution skills desired.
Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times Excellent attendance record.
Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, patients, and staff.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community.
Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
